The Real Stakeholder Requirements: What They Actually Want
10 PDUs · One month · Self paced · Power Skills
The PMP was about passing a test. This is about mastering how you specifically do projects so you create sustainable and consistent results.
Who this course is for
Certified project managers who want to create sustainable mastery and build a custom PM Playbook they can use as they do their projects.
I don't care, you pick.
Everybody has heard it about dinner, and everybody knows the person saying it will reject the next four suggestions. They do care. They cannot or will not name it. Asking again more clearly does not help, which is why your fourth requirements workshop produced the same answer as the first.
What this course actually says
People cannot tell you what they want. They can tell you what is wrong with what you showed them.
That asymmetry is the whole technique. Stop asking. Start proposing, specifically enough to be rejected. A safe proposal produces a vague reaction and teaches you nothing. It has to be committed enough that being wrong about it is informative.
What you leave able to do
Get a usable answer out of somebody who has told you three times that they have no preference.
Three modules, one month
Why they will not say. Three reasons, three different fixes. They have not decided. They genuinely do not know and cannot picture it until something is in front of them. Or they cannot say it in this room. Most PMs have been treating a do not know as a will not say and quietly resenting somebody for a year over it.
Giving them something to reject. Put a specific proposal in front of a live ambiguity and record what you learned that no amount of asking had produced. Then notice how long that ambiguity had been sitting there.
The ones who cannot say. The answer exists and the room is the obstacle. Somebody who cannot contradict their own boss in a status meeting will not be drawn out by a better prototype. Change the room. Fewer people, different people, different setting.
You leave with a playbook, not a certificate
Three lessons learned, tied to real projects, in your own words. Your diagnosis of the stakeholder giving you the least to work with. The proposal you expected to be wrong and what it produced. And the room you changed, and what came out of it that had not come out before.
That is your PM Playbook. It lives in your Cheetah account, you can edit any of it, download all of it, and it goes with you when you change employers. Every course adds entries, and so does anything you work out on your own projects in between.
The Custom Playbook Advisor
Describe a situation you are in right now. It answers in three parts and keeps them separate: what standard practice says, what Cheetah's view is, and what your own playbook says about it.
One course in, you have three entries and it will tell you so. Five courses in it starts handing you back conclusions you reached eighteen months ago and forgot.
