What happens if I do not pass the PMP exam?
The short answer
Candidates are allowed up to three attempts to pass the exam within their one-year eligibility period.
If a candidate does not pass on their first attempt, their eligibility period remains open to allow for up to two additional attempts within that year.
Candidates should review the PMI certification handbook for current re-examination policies, fee structures, and the specific next steps required if their one-year eligibility window expires.
